Lifetime Diamond Trade in policy
On a diamond upgrade Towne will give the purchase price of the diamond itself previously purchased at Towne Jewelers towards the purchase of a larger size diamond. Ideally this will be of benefit to those who wish to upgrade the diamond mounted in their engagement ring, diamond stud earrings, diamond pendant or diamond ring. We accept one item in trade per purchase. This applies to Towne jewelry currently covered by our Lifetime Warranty.
Return Policy
We wish you to be completely satisfied with your jewelry purchase. If within 30 days after receipt of your purchase you are not satisfied, return the item for a full refund of the purchase price or exchange the merchandise with a full credit. All products should be returned in the “new” original condition they were received along with all packaging and paperwork. Products which have been modified (for example sized, engraved etc.), show wear or abused will not be accepted for a refund or exchange. Custom jewelry and special orders are not eligible for a refund or exchange. Certain items may require a restocking fee. Refunds are made only to the purchaser of record, and in the exact method of original payment.
As a result of requirements placed on us by our watch lines the return policy includes watches but with additional restrictions as follows; There is no refund or exchange on a watch if it is worn, engraved, a link is removed or added (sized), or altered in anyway. We are authorized dealers for the watch lines we advertise on this site and hence all are covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty.
Insurance Documentation
Our gold and platinum jewelry (over $1,000) comes with documentation giving a detailed description of the jewelry and a statement of replacement cost assigned by a Graduate Gemologist (GIA). This documentation is designed to satisfy the requirements of your Insurance agent for coverage of your jewelry. If your Insurance agent requires their own form to be filled out please let us know and we will be happy to accommodate this request.
Conflict Diamonds
We are committed as are our international diamond suppliers to providing only conflict free diamonds to our clients. Although the threat is not over, as a result of this commitment from 71 governments from around the world incorporating the Kimberley Process Certification System into national law we can trust the diamonds we are selling are conflict free diamonds.

Towne Jewelers Lifetime Warranty
Quality
We stand by our products and guarantee to repair or replace your Towne jewelry if any defects are found in the original workmanship or construction. We guarantee your diamond, colored gemstone, gold or platinum jewelry to be authentic as described. We do not sell white diamonds which have been coated, fracture- filled, high-temperature/high pressure treated (HTHP) or clarity enhanced. At all times we adhere to strict guidelines of disclosure and will fully disclose any treatment or enhancement of diamonds or colored gemstones beyond cutting or polishing. Our gold is pure 14kt, 18kt or 22kt as indicated and our platinum is 90% or 95% pure platinum.
Service
Towne Jewelers is committed to keeping your new piece of jewelry looking new for years to come. We want to be your jeweler for lifetime events and as such we offer a Lifetime Service Warranty on all of our jewelry constructed exclusively of gold or platinum, and gold or platinum jewelry containing diamonds, sapphires or rubies at no additional charge.
Lifetime Cleaning and Inspections
We will inspect and clean your jewelry as often as you would like but request one inspection at least every six months to make sure your jewelry is being properly maintained and to keep the warranty active. During your visit please have a Towne representative sign your warranty examination card and note condition. Upon inspection and cleaning if it is found maintenance is required we will have a Towne jeweler thoroughly examine the item. If a visit/inspection is missed please bring in the item as soon as possible so we may reinstate your warranty.
Lifetime Polish
We want your Towne Jewelry looking like new years from the day it was purchased. In addition to a cleaning with each inspection and as part of our Lifetime Warranty we will complete a full polish on your gold or platinum jewelry on an annual basis. This process will completely restore your jewelry to a like new condition, bringing back its original luster and finish.
Lifetime Maintenance
Jewelry must be properly maintained, and as part of our lifetime warranty our jewelers will check your jewelry and perform such maintenance tasks related to normal wear such as clean, polish, tighten stones, adjust clasps, re-round a ring, and closely inspect the jewelry all at no charge. Even with normal wear there is a point that repairs may become necessary. If repairs outside of normal maintenance are necessary Towne will provide an estimate based on our standard fee structure.
Maintenance and repairs are to be completed exclusively by Towne Jewelers. We cannot warranty jewelry which someone else has serviced/repaired and this will void your warranty. To keep this warranty in effect jewelry must be keep in good repair/condition by Towne Jewelers.
We would like to point out that having been in the industry 30 years and based on this experience a maintenance schedule has been tailored to accommodate jewelry which is subjected to normal wear. Our desire is to keep your jewelry functioning and looking its best.
That being stated precious metals will wear over time and heavy friction will speed this process and diamonds although their hardness legendary can chip, crack or break. Just as one would not take a luxury sports car on a rugged off road trail we encourage clients to utilize discretion in subjecting their jewelry to unnecessarily heavy or damaging wear as this may expedite the need for service outside of the normal warranty.
The Towne Lifetime Warranty applies to the original owner and is not transferable. The Towne Lifetime Warranty does not apply to lost, stolen, abused merchandise, chipped or broken diamonds or gemstones. We recommend that clients insure their jewelry against theft or loss.
